AVU - host of the "Citizens reaching Nature through Orienteering (CNeering) " transnational project

Recently, AVU hosted the first transnational meeting within the "Citizens reaching Nature through Orienteering (CNeering)," Erasmus+ Sports project carried out by three organizations: Pendik Municipality (Istanbul, Turkey), Lousada Municipality (Portugal), and Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad.

"We are delighted to have joined this project through the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. We aim to continue collaborating with our Turkish and Portuguese partners to promote sports, an essential component in everyone's life," declared AVU Rector, Ramona Lile.

"The project aims to encourage teenagers, mothers, and children aged 5-9 to participate in physical activities. By way of Orienteering, participants are expected to improve their self-confidence by acquiring skills such as concentration and quick decision-making," commented Associate Professor Viorel Ardelean from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.
