AVU officially opens the 2020-2021 academic year

“Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad officially opened the 2020-2021 academic year. Instead of special opening ceremonies or festivities, the new academic year started with an increased sense of confidence, joy and hope. All faculty level freshmen meetings were held taking into account the regulations imposed by the SARS COV2 pandemic.

“It is hard to offer a prediction for the entire academic year at the moment. What system will get adopted in a month, or two, or three? We do not know. We only know that we must offer real solutions in order to be able to continue the educational process, regardless of what will happen. The majority of the teaching staff, and I believe that most of the students as well, desire to be present in the classrooms. It is not possible at the moment, yet I believe that if everyone acts in a responsible manner, we should be able to slowly return to a normal state of affairs. It will certainly be a difficult year for everyone yet we must carry on, we must continue to provide the same high-level education be it online or in a classroom”, declared Prof. PhD. Ramona Lile, AVU`s RECTOR.
