Workshop at UAV: “Abuse and Violence in the Digital Age – Between Invisible Reality and Legal Consequences”
4/20/2026The Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work within “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad is organizing on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 12:00, the workshop titled “Abuse and Violence in the Digital Age: Between Invisible Reality and Legal Consequences.”
The event will take place in the Blue Room, Complex M, Micălaca (2 Elena Drăgoi Street), and aims to bring to participants’ attention the issue of abuse and violence in the online environment from interdisciplinary perspectives.
The workshop will address topics such as:
- forensic dimensions of abuse and violence;
- relational toxicity and forms of abuse in the digital environment;
- legal implications of abusive online behaviours.
Special guests of the event are:
- Chief Police Commissioner Claudiu Ciochină, Head of the Forensic Service within the Arad County Police Inspectorate, forensic specialist;
- Chief Police Commissioner Gianina Alexa, forensic psychologist and forensic expert.
Through this initiative, the organizers aim to provide students and the interested public with a framework for information and reflection on the risks and consequences associated with abusive behaviours in the digital space.
“Digital transformations bring significant opportunities, but also real risks, especially among young people. Our university supports initiatives that directly address sensitive topics such as abuse and violence in the online environment, providing students with access to validated information and practitioners,” stated the Rector of UAV, Dr. Habil. Ramona Lile.
