Opening of the Exhibition “In-Between. The Space Between Times” at Galeria Alfa

Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad invites the public of Arad on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., to Galeria Alfa for the opening of the exhibition “In-Between. The Space Between Times,” created by undergraduate and master’s students of the Design specialization within the Faculty of Design.

The exhibition proposes a journey into the creative universe of young artists, starting from the concept of “in-between,” a term used in animation to designate the intermediate frames between the key moments of a visual sequence. In the artists’ vision, this notion becomes a metaphor for the time between everyday responsibilities and the inner space dedicated to creation—that interval necessary for reflection, concentration, and authentic artistic expression.

“In-Between. The Space Between Times” explores precisely this need to disconnect from the accelerated rhythm of everyday life and to rediscover a personal time organically connected to the creative process.

The exhibition brings together works by the students:

Rujița Bătrân, Lucia Ardelean, Ema Olaru, Alexandra Ștefania Stanciu, Claudia Crăciunoiu, Dominic Czibula, Bogdana Knapik, and Maria Muntean Evelina.

The exhibition is curated and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laurian Popa, while the artistic coordination is provided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Călin Lucaci and Lecturer Dr. Raluca Nicola.

The works may be visited between May 11–26, 2026, at Galeria Alfa.
