UAV Arad Launches a New Project to Modernize University Infrastructure
5/23/2025"Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad announces the launch of the project "UAV – Creating a Modern Infrastructure", financed through the West Regional Programme. The project (MySMIS code 328607) benefits from a total funding of 10,061,999.90 lei, of which 7,450,457.53 lei is co-financed by the European Union.
The project is co-financed by the European Union through ADR Vest, acting as the Managing Authority for the West Regional Programme.
The project will be implemented over a period of two years, starting on 28 February 2025 and ending on 28 February 2027, in the municipality of Arad.
The main objective of the "UAV – Creating a Modern Infrastructure" project is the significant modernization of the infrastructure of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad, directly targeting seven faculties of the institution.
Through this initiative, the aim is to create an open and inclusive academic environment, providing access to educational and related infrastructure that meets current socio-economic needs and trends. Another key objective is to improve the quality of the university’s educational offerings.
The expected outcomes of the "UAV – Creating a Modern Infrastructure" project are significant both for our academic community and for the Western region:
- Modernization of seven faculties of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad and equipping 23 educational spaces with modern and appropriate equipment.
- Implementation of two concrete accessibility measures to ensure an equal and inclusive learning environment for all students and teaching staff.
- Authorization of a new master's degree program, as a result of improved infrastructure and educational offerings.
With this new project, "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad reaffirms its commitment to efficiently utilizing European funds to continuously enhance the quality of education and provide students with the best possible study conditions.
