AVU ranked 23 out of 93 universities

3/15/2022

The National Metaranking of universities for 2021 has been made officially available. The Romanian higher education system operates 93 institutions of higher education, out of which 53 are public and 40 are private. For 2021, the National Metaranking included only those 31 universities - out of the total 93 available – which cumulated the necessary point average to be taken into consideration.

„Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad occupies the 23rd position in this meta-ranking. The hierarchy is based on the analysis of international higher education rankings, acknowledged by the Ranking Expert Group Inventory of International Rankings (IREG), and identifies the most representative institutions of national higher education.

„We are delighted that our university is included in this ranking but, at the same time, it requires us to work harder in order to occupy a better position in the future. I would like to thank my colleagues for their involvement and dedication and I believe that together we`ll be able to better our results. We will continue to invest in research, to support scientific research at faculty level and to promote AVU within the international academic area” declared Ramona LILE, AVU`s Rector.
