Teodor Cilan: “UAV Has Won a Project Worth Over 8 Million Lei for Energy Renovation”

Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad has won a new funding project under the West Regional Programme 2021–2027, with a total value of 8,689,632.01 lei, aimed at the energy renovation of the buildings housing the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Engineering.

The project targets the modernization and energy efficiency improvement of the university buildings located at 8 Calea Zimandului and 41–43 Calea Aurel Vlaicu, through works such as thermal rehabilitation, modernization of heating systems, installation of photovoltaic panels, efficient ventilation systems, and LED lighting.

“Winning this project represents another important step in the university’s strategy to modernize its infrastructure and promote sustainable development. Through these investments, we provide students and academic staff with modern conditions for study and work, while also contributing to the green transition of our institution and of the local community,” stated the Rector of UAV, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teodor Florin Cilan.

Through the implementation of this project, energy consumption and carbon emissions will be significantly reduced, while also contributing to the creation of a modern, comfortable, and sustainable university environment.

The total value of the project is 8,689,632.01 lei, of which 8,468,602.94 lei represents eligible funding.
