“Inclusive Strategies and Policies in the European Educational Space”

National Conference with International Participation at UAV Arad

Specialists from the University of Bucharest, the University of Oradea, Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University, the “Constantin Stere” University of European Political and Economic Studies in Chișinău, the Arad Teachers’ Resource Center (Casa Corpului Didactic), CJRAE Arad, ISJ Arad, as well as the Director of the Romanian Institute for Human Rights and the Director of the “George Barițiu” National College in Cluj-Napoca, joined “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad at the conference held between 21–22 November.

The event brought back into focus the need to implement the principles and methods of inclusive education in both higher and pre-university education.

During the conference, a Collaboration Agreement was signed between “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad and the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chișinău, opening the way to new collaborations in academia, research activities, and the development of joint projects.

“Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad promotes a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion. We aim to foster genuine dialogue among specialists from different fields, generating viable solutions for educational, digital, and social inclusion policies and strategies. This conference has certainly created the necessary framework for such dialogue, and we are honored that representatives from the academic communities of Romania and the Republic of Moldova accepted our invitation,”
said Assoc. Prof. Teodor Florin Cilan, PhD, Rector of UAV.

“The large number of participants presenting papers confirms that inclusive education remains a priority for the educational system. The debates opened new perspectives and offered concrete examples of good practices in implementing inclusive education policies,”

The conference was organized by the Department for Teacher Training (DPPD) – UAV, in partnership with the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work, the Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC), and the UAV Learning Center.
