Ramona Lile: AVU has climbed in the Webometrics Ranking

Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad among the country`s top 30 universities

The Webometrics ranking, released at the end of January, shows an improved placement for "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad in the global, European, and national rankings compared to previous years. The ranking, conducted by Cybermetrics Lab, a research group within the Spanish National Research Council, included over 30.000 universities from 200 countries. AVU was ranked 3368th (out of 31,000 universities) worldwide, 1075th continentally, and 27th nationally out of 102 universities considered. The indicators taken into account were: 50% - visibility, meaning the total number of external links that the university's web domain receives from third parties; 10% - transparency, quantifying the total number of citations; and 40% - excellence, representing the quality of scientific articles published in high-impact international journals ranked in the top 10% most cited in a particular field. "This is a ranking that reflects the research visibility of universities within the global academic world. We are pleased with the rise registered by our university, which certifies the results of research work conducted and confirms the involvement of the entire academic body in institutional development. It was a team effort that led to this achievement worthy of full appreciation and which imposes a continuation of our evolutionary journey" declared Ramona Lile, AVU Rector.
