Ramona Lile, "Power Age, a project to promote sports among the elderly"

AVu`s Faculty of Physical Education and Sports is part of the Erasmus+ "Power Age" project that is implemented with partners from Portugal and Turkey.

The opening was attended by AVU`s Rector Ramona Lile, Oana Pârvulescu, General Director of the Social Work Directorate Arad, Rodica Birta, manager for adults with disabilities, Aurelia Gabor, aerobics instructor CSM Arad, AVU teaching staff members and students, as well as local PE high school teachers.

The project`s first activities took place at the Akademos Elderly Center, the CSM Arad gymnastics room, and AVu`s Faculty of Sports.

"I would like to congratulate the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports project team for their involvement, I would like to thank our local partners for their support, and I am convinced that each stage of this project will provide new skills and abilities to those who want to develop the practice of sports amongst the elderly," declared AVU Rector, Ramona Lile.
