Prof. PhD. Ovidiu Predescu to be awarded AVU`s Doctor Honoris Causa title

Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad will award the title of DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA to Professor PhD. OVIDIU PREDESCU, a renowned Romanian legal theoretician and practitioner.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, March 17, at 11:00 am in the Senate Hall (AVU headquarters - Bulevardul Revolutiei no. 77).

"It is an honour to welcome distinguished Professor Ovidiu Predescu, a model of integrity and professionalism, within our university's academic community. His contributions to the development of legal sciences and his defining role in the formation of Romanian law professionals make him one of the most qualified voices in the legal field," observed AVU Rector, Ramona Lile.

The Laudatio Committee, led by the President of the UAV Senate, Professor Radu Ioan, includes: Professor Ciucă Liviu-Bogdan, "Dunarea de Jos" University in Galati - President of the Romanian Academy of Legal Sciences; Professor Mircea Duțu, Ecological University of Bucharest - Director of the "Acad. Andrei Radulescu" Institute of Legal Research within the Romanian Academy; Professor habil. Constantin Duvac, Romanian-American University in Bucharest - President of the Romanian Association of Penal Sciences and Professor habil. Elena-Ana Iancu, Aurel Vlaicu University in Arad, President of Section 3 - Methodology of Criminal Investigations within the Romanian Forensic Scientists Association.
