AVU student Lazăr Daniel, World Champion!!!

AVU`s Faculty of Physical Education and Sports second-year student and local police officer Lazar Daniel won the gold at the World Police & Fire Games Winnipeg 2023 – Canada (July 28 - August 6).

An extraordinary performance by Lazăr Daniel, son of judo coach Lazăr Loghin, in a competition where over 8,500 athletes from 50 countries competed in no less than 60 sporting disciplines.

The judoka from Arad, Lazăr Daniel, competed in the 73 kg category and, after four very tough matches, managed to win the gold. Congratulations!!
