Forum UAV: „New World Order in the Making: Impact on Europe and the Balkan Region”

The Institute for Geopolitical Studies within Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (IGS-UAV), in collaboration with the European Research Institute for Strategic Studies (ERISS) in Ljubljana, is organizing the Global Forum entitled “New World Order in the Making: Impact on Europe and the Balkan Region”.

The event will bring together researchers, analysts, and experts in geopolitics, international law, and international economics affiliated with prestigious universities and research institutes, internationally recognized for their academic and professional contributions in the field of geopolitical and strategic studies. Participants from more than ten countries, including the United States of America, will analyze the accelerated transformations of the global geopolitical context and their impact on Europe and the Balkan region.

“In an international context marked by major geopolitical transformations, the Global Forum organized by Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad aims to create an academic and strategic framework for dialogue among distinguished specialists from various countries around the world. The topic addressed reflects current concerns regarding the redefinition of the world order and the impact of these changes on Europe and the Balkan region. By organizing this event, we seek to strengthen the role of the university as a space for academic reflection, international cooperation, and responsible debate on contemporary global challenges,” stated the rector of UAV, Dr. habil. Ramona Lile.

The event will take place in the Ferdinand Hall of the Arad City Hall on May 15, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m.
