AVU Football Team Qualifies for the National University Championship Final Tournament

Athletes from AVU`s Faculty of Physical Education and Sport have qualified for the Final Tournament of the National University Football Championship. Fourteen teams representing ten university centers entered the competition.

The decisive match between the Politehnica team from Timișoara and AVU`s team ended with a score of 0-3 in favor of the Arad team.

The goals were scored by Vlăduț Stanciu, Daniel Marc, and Nicholas Brad.

The final tournament will take place from in Oradea (May 18th to 21^st).

AVU`s team will play three matches against Constantin Brâncuși University from Tg Jiu, the University of Life Sciences from Iași, and 1 Decembrie 1918 University from Alba Iulia.

The team that wins the final, which will be held on Sunday, May 21st, will be crowned as the 2023 Romanian champions and will represent the Romanian university community at the European University Games in Albania in June 2023.
