The Global CyberSecurity Summit 2022 international conference, hosted this past weekend in Arad, was an event organized by the EU-LEX Association in partnership with “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad with the support of Arad City Council.

The event was attended by AVU Rector Ramona LILE, Răzvan Cadar, the city council’s vice-president, specialist from the D.C. Cyber Task Force (DC2TF) of the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C, university teaching staff members, representatives of the business environment as well as members of the Ministry of Interior and the National Institute for IT Research-Development within ICI Bucharest.

„Today, more so than ever, we are increasingly exposed to cyber-attacks. We already lead a digital life that must be protected. Our firewall is represented by cyber security. We are delighted that Arad hosted this event meant to raise awareness regarding the perils of cyber-attacks, an event that included top tier specialists who have lectured on the importance of safety in the digital world” commented AVU Rector, Ramona LILE.

„ In a context where the challenges faced by the cyber area are evolving at an increasing rate, human behavior plays a vital role for cyber security; Global CyberSecurity Summit 2022 focused on increasing the awareness of Romanian citizens as well as on devolving a cyber security culture in a European and international environment” declared event organizer, PhD candidate, Constantin-Marius Arădan.
