The visit of the delegation from Deggendorf to the “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad.
6/2/2025The “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad had the honor of receiving a visit from an important delegation from Germany, the city of Deggendorf, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and discussing new directions for academic collaboration.
The German delegation included Dr. Christian Moser, Mayor of Deggendorf, and Prof. Waldemar Berg, President of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (TH Deggendorf), along with representatives of the local council from the German city.
During the meeting, topics of mutual interest were addressed, such as the development of sustainable academic partnerships, the initiation of joint study programs, and the strengthening of exchanges between faculty and students. The discussions highlighted the willingness of both institutions to engage actively in support of the internationalization of education and research.
“We trust that this partnership will be a long-term one, as it is built on shared values and objectives. We are honored by the presence of the Mayor of Deggendorf and are pleased by the involvement of local communities in developing bilateral academic relations. We are convinced that this collaboration will generate new opportunities for both cities,” stated UAV’s rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teodor Florin Cilan.
This visit marks an important step in strengthening European relations in the field of education and regional development, with the cooperation between UAV and TH Deggendorf as its foundation.
