Freelance Design: Turning Concepts into Careers
6/26/2025Workshop for Students on Design Entrepreneurship at UAV Arad
Under the auspices of the Student Entrepreneurial Society (SAS) of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad, and with the involvement of representatives from the Faculty of Design, a new workshop in the series dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship in the field of design will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM.
The event, hosted in the Iuliu Maniu Hall (Bulevardul Revoluției no. 81, Arad), will bring together established designers and entrepreneurs who will share with students their success stories, professional challenges, and key insights for building an independent career in the creative industry.

The workshop carries the motto “Self-Made Design – The Journey from Concept to Career”, a title that reflects both the diversity of professional opportunities offered by visual arts and design, and the importance of personal initiative and entrepreneurial development in building a sustainable career.
This initiative is part of a broader series of SAS–UAV meetings, aimed at inspiring and equipping students with the tools they need to take concrete steps toward launching their own creative businesses.
