Business, Inspiration, and Dialogue at the Faculty of Economic Sciences

This week, entrepreneur Călin Muscă met with the students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at UAV as part of an event dedicated to dialogue between the academic and business environments.

UAV’s long-standing project – Stimulating the Creativity of Young People in Arad in the Economic and Social Field through Entrepreneurial Projects and Simulations – now in its 9th edition, brings before students business people whose experience and success stories inspire and motivate.

Călin Muscă, an entrepreneur who has built his career in agriculture and animal husbandry, openly answered the many questions from the audience in an interactive and dynamic atmosphere. The discussion touched on essential topics such as starting a business, difficult and favorable moments, the principles that must be respected, ambition and courage, as well as the challenges and responsibilities of being a business owner in Romania.

The second part of the day was dedicated to the business plan competition, where more than 20 projects designed and presented by students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences were analyzed and ranked by the jury members. At the end, awards were presented to the best initiatives.

“I believe it is very important for students to interact directly with business people, to learn from those who have successfully gone through all the stages of business development what it truly means to run a business, to take an idea from theory into practice, to move from thought to action. Over the years, this project has managed to create a dialogue that complements the academic training received by the students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences,”
stated Assoc. Prof. Teodor Florin Cilan, PhD, Rector of UAV.

The project is funded by the Arad City Hall through CMCA.
