Focus and Scope

The theme of the magazine was, from the beginning, a theological one with a wide opening towards universal cultural values. The magazine’s profile contains all the study directions common to the theological research. Nevertheless, in the magazine’s studies we can see a large ecumenical opening and a special interest in the dialog between the Christian confessions.

Peer Review Process

The peer review system applied to the articles which are to be published in the “Theology ” review is similar to the usual international procedures. Thus, an article, selected by the editing staff to be published, is simultaneously sent to two members of the scientific staff with competence in the domain of the article. If one of the members declines his competence within seven days, the article is sent to another member. The reviews are then sent to the editorial office within a period of a month and the editorial staff communicates the decision to the author(s).
The two reviewers estimate the paper according to some norms, presented below, included in the seven chapters, norms which are suppose to assure a high scientific standard to the paper.  Each review ends with a positive or a negative recommendation regarding its publication in our review.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

The “Teologia” review has appeared constantly since 1997, with a biannual rhythm, and then quarterly. The publication is desired to be a visible platform of expressing the dynamics of the scientific research of the teachers from the Orthodox Theology Faculty from Arad, being the very first one among the few magazines edited by an Orthodox Theology Faculty.

During all this time, there has been a constant preoccupation for improving the quality level of the magazine. While at the beginning only the teachers of the Orthodox Faculty of Theology from Arad published, finally a lot of teachers from Romania and from abroad, even of other confessions, were selected to publish also in our magazine. Even the graphic part was improved.
