IMPLICATIONS OF SELF-ESTEEM IN ADOLESCENCE

Adolescence is a time of many changes, and psychologically,
we can speak of self-definition, shaping and strengthening of
the self-image. Outlining the new identity and shaping the selfimage
requireevaluation againstthe image of an adult, along
with acceptance of a set of social and group norms retrieved
from other teenagers. In the present study we wanted to find a
link between self-esteem in adolescents and their educational
profile, and last but not least, the correlation between selfesteem
and emotional intelligence within the same age period.
