“Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, a university with international visibility

The fourth edition of Academic Meta-ranking investigates the international visibility of national universities as well as their impact within the international academic arena for 2019. The ranking included 54 public universities and 37 private, institutionally accredited universities.

According to the data presented by the report`s authors, the ranking includes only of universities that are present in at least 1 of the 9 international rankings taken into consideration. Out of the total number of Romanian universities, only 30 enjoy international visibility; all of these being public institutions of higher education.

“Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad ranked 12^th alongside other public universities such as The University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Tirgu Mures, The University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest, Stefan cel Mare University from Suceava etc.

“We are pleased to have been included in this ranking. The fact that we do benefit from international visibility is the result of my colleagues` scientific research efforts and of the university`s internationalization policies, adopted at a central managerial level. The 2019 academic meta-ranking has been authored by professors from ”Babeș-Bolyai” University, Harvard University, The Technical University of Cluj, Transilvania University of Brasov, The National School of Administrative and Political Studies and the University of Bucharest.
