The Economic Studies Faculty within the „Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, situated on the Revolution’s Avenue 77, was set up in 1999, but economic specializations have already existed since 1993, within the Faculty of Engineering and Economic Sciences.

The institution’s main targets and goals are: preparing economists with university studies at the European level for different economic fields of activity and for teaching purposes; forming specialists with high adaptation capacity and professional mobility; promoting the progress and the social modernization; performing scientific and research activities, involving teaching staff, students and partners from industrial and social life; developing scientific and academic relationships with other similar faculties from Romania and abroad.

 For the faculty cycle, the institution has four specialties, accredited by the National Council for Academic Evaluation and Accreditation.

These specialties may be studied either by regular attendance or by reduced attendance during three years.

For the master cycle, the institution offers fifteen specialties.

This cycle ends by a final dissertation exam. Referring to the material endowment, the Economic Studies Faculty’s activity takes place in both Building „D” and Building „M”, in 26 rooms: 2 halls (both in „M” Building); 7 lecture rooms (4 in „D” Building, 3 in „M” Building”); 11 seminary rooms (all in „D” Building”); 6 labs (1 networks lab, 1 multimedia lab, 4 programming labs, all in „M” Building. Also, an important aspect is the libraries: the Central University Library„Cornelia Bodea” and the Building„M” Micro library.
